Hi .
I'm using Tomcat 4.0.1 , it was working perfectly for 2 months, in one day, i've started it and it gave me a Bad command or file name message on the shell.
Any ideas please???
I'm using jdk 1.3
Regards.

That message does not come from Tomcat but from the operating system.

I'm moving this from Servlets -> Apache/Tomcat

It's a Tomcat issue alone.

Check out the environment variables, like JAVA_HOME, CATALINA_HOME, etc., Also, if you have set these variables in autoexec.bat, check out if they are still there.
Most importantly, check the PATH and make sure your <tomcat_home>\bin is present in the path.
