Installation of Apache & tomcat

Hi,
I have successfully installed the tomcat & Apache server.
But When I try to browse the first screen of both the servers namely Apache & tomcat by typing http://localhost & http://127.0.0.1:8080, in the first case i.e. http://localhost it goes to http://www.localhost.com & in http://127.0.0.1:8080, I get the error message as connection refused.
Can any one tell me what is the problem? Hos to set the DNS setting to local host.
I am using both the servers on Windows 98.

Just try http://127.0.0.1/
