Hi Guys,
I'm getting a error while trying to load OracleDriver from tomcat even though i've driver set in the classpath. I've included driver name and protocol in the web.xml as init parameter to a servlet. Can anybody help me out?
Thanks in advance.

Tomcat 4.x ignores system CLASSPATH. Be sure to place your Oracle driver in either the web application's WEB-INF/lib directory, or into common/lib directory of Tomcat.

Hi Mike,
I've kept the zip file in web application's web-inf/lib as well as in common/lib, but still cannot rectify the problem.
The error i get is servlet invoker failed to create servlet instance. But if i go to the log to see the exception, its the classnotfound exception . Any idea as to how to rectify the problem.
Thanks in advance.

You should rename 'classes12.zip' to 'classes12.jar' because Tomcat can 'read' a zip-file.

Hi Mike,
Thanks a lot. Renaming the file to 'classes12.jar' and placing it in common/lib solved the problem.
