search utility in forums

I think there should be a search utility for each forum in this site so that when someone is looking for something they can use the search utility first and then post a new topic if required. The general tendency is to post a new topic so as to get a quick reply. This will reduce the load on moderators as well and also it will help reuse of the database

Actually, there is already is a way to search. Click on the link below the "Post Reply" Button. You can search by forum or by "all open forums". You can search by subject (pick a few words) or by the person posting (if you think someone's posts are particularly informative/interesting). You can search for the words only in the subject or you can include the text of the messages in your search. You can also limit your dates ( for instance if you want only more recent posts)
