I cannot understand what this lines

I'd been wondering about that one as well - especially since Tomcat doesn't serve EJBs. As EJB2.0 has become more widely written up, hoever, I see that it does illustrate a useful property for the benefit of EJB systems that embed Tomcat such as JOnAS and JBoss.
