I have a PIII 933 MHZ PC with 256 MB RAM. I am running Mandrake 9 and I typically run GNOME for my Desktop Manager.
I am running Apache and Tomcat. I have noticed that after I start my Tomcat engine, the PC seems to slow down a bit. I lose some performance on the PC itself. The servlets still seem to be responding normally and http request seem fine. But the PC itself seems bogged down.
1. Has anyone else experienced this?
2. Would it be better for me to run Tomcat on a seperate PC and send requests to that IP instead?
Any suggestions??
