How Tomcat4.x manage the request against the servlet that implements the SingleThreadModel.
Doest it apply (1)Instance Pooling approach or (2)Request Serialization. Please confirm
Second If It applies the "Request Serialization"
then I noticed by running a servlet concurrently from two browser windows that the instance variable initialized increased and printed same on both browsers But by running it from third browser It started the increment in instance variable from value where it was left by last request.
Please clear how does it work?
Thanks in advance

I believe that Tomcat implements a pool of servlet instances which explains what you saw. The "two browser instances" were looking at the same servlet instance while the third was looking at a new instance.
You can download the complete source for Tomcat and figure out these details from that.
