apache/tomcat as an app server

I am new to tomcat/apache environment. I want to develop an application which includes jsp/servlets and ejbs. I know that jsp/servlets can be deployed on this server. But can we develop ejb and deploy it on apache/tomcat. Can somebody help? Thanks in advance.

Tomcat does not implement EJB.

Take a look into JBoss Application Server if you want to implement J2EE. http://www.jboss.org.
