If I have to develop a web development environment using open source technologies, what are my choices?
If I use JBOSS as App. Server and then do I need Apache and Tomcat?
If I use Apache as web server don't I need an App Server?
I am wondering if both can be used (JBOSS, Apache) or I need to choose?
Can someone clarify this?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
