I download tomcat 4.1.24 and installed it... the strange thing is Im having the exact same problem I posted before about tomcat 4.1.27.
The message is:

That is indeed mystifying - which Java version do you have installed? I am running Tomcat 4.1.24 with Java 1.4.1_02 on Windows 2000 Server.

I solved the problem... it problably wasnt the best solution but it worked. I installed jsdk 1.4.2_01 and set JAVA_HOME to it...
Then everything worked just fine.
