Hi all,
I'm using Eclipse in a Clear case vob. I want my Tomcat to point to the deploy directory in the vob and deploy the app. The web app is exploded at this point, since we'll be changing it on the fly. Tomcat doesn't like what I'm doing when I add a context to the server.xml file or make a standalone xml file containing the context. I get the following error:
Jan 7, 2004 6:15:21 PM org.apache.catalina.startup.ContextConfig applicationConfig
INFO: Missing application web.xml, using defaults only StandardEngine[Catalina].
StandardHost[localhost].StandardContext[/appname]
My context is a such:
<Context debug="5" docBase="v:\..deploy..\appname" path="/appname" reloadable="true">
</Context>
any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

Never mind. I've got it. It turns out that Tomcat couldn't see some symbolic links in Clear Case. I pointed to the real thing and all is well...
