I have been trying to change the Session Time Out by modifying the
server.xml file. I want to change the the Sesssion Time out from 30 seconds
to 300 seconds. I modified the code as below (and restarted Tomcat), but the
session always times out between 90 seconds and 180 seconds of inactivity
(while using the SessionExample servlet).
<Context path="/examples" docBase="examples"
defaultSessionTimeOut="300" isWARExpanded="true"
isWARValidated="false" isInvokerEnabled="true"
isWorkDirPersistent="false" \>
Is this the correct way to chance the session time out? Is there any
documentation on how to do this with Tomcat?
Thank you in advance for any and all assistance...

In my Tomcat 4 installation, the session-timeout constant is in the default web.xml file, and is given in minutes, not seconds. Which version are you working with?
