howto configure tomcat to hold web application~~

hi, how to i configure tomcat and make a new folder that contains web application, i don't want create subfolder in "webapp" folder ?

Your web app can exist anywhere on the filesystem that Tomcat has access. Create a new Context in server.xml for the app and specify the location as the docbase.

sorry, bear ,i'm quite new in tomcat , i didn't get it ? can u show me more detail ?
1)example i want a make a folder "test" under c:\tomcat to hold my web application , how i set it in server.xml?
2)can i just make a folder say "test" as c:\test , rather than under c:\tomcat\test ?

Add a line like this to '<tomcat>/conf/server.xml' inside the 'HOST' tag
