JSP: TOMCAT ERROR

Wenn ich Tomcat mit ./startup.sh starte, bekomme ich die Fehler Meldung:
The JAVA-HOME Environment Variable is not defined correctly.
The Environment Variable is needed to run this program.
Ich hab Java (J2sdk1.4.2) mit der ENV JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2" gesetzt.
Wenn ich mit Echo abfrage schreibt er mir den richtigen Pfad hin.
Ich bitte um Hilfe.

And from what I can translate, this is a Tomca question so I'm moving it to our Tomcat forum
