I have made changes to a web.xml file and want it to be reread but dont want to stop the whole application server. Is it possible. I dont have it deployed as a WAR file.
The application manager lets you stop and restart a "web application" - I'm assuming it re-reads the web.xml when you restart it - easy enough to check. I do know it totally rebuilds the servlet instance, so it should re-read web.xml. Bill
Well, I just tried a simple example, and if you stop and start a web application with the Tomcat manager, it DOES re-read the web.xml. So there is your solution. Bill
