Hi,
I would like to make a user who has the access/rights to start and stop services like Tomcat & Apache only.
I do not want that user to do any thing else on the system.
How can I create that user on Linux 9.1
Thanks

I assume 9.1 refers to some particular linux distribution cuz the linux kernel version is around 2.6.*.
If you are on Suse 9.1, you can create new users and groups using the YaST2 module, which can be accessed from the start menu - Control Center button. Other distributions should have similar utilities, I think Mandrake and Redhat have kuser, or you can run the appropriate commands from a bash shell.
