Hi !
i am new to jsp.I hv loaded both tomcat 4.1 and j2ee server but don't know how to run a simple jsp using either of them.Pls tell me the simple steps to execute a jsp.

Deepa,
once you had loaded tomcat, try running the sample examples already available with Tomcat.

start the server and try the url for the tomcat index page.

http://localhost:8080/examples/

where 8080 is the default port and hope u hadnt changed the port.

If you've downloaded Tomcat, then you don't need another j2ee server for running JSPs.

There is documentation on the Tomcat site.
This, in particualar seems like a good place to start:
