I have found many, many guides for mod_jk2, which is OLDer, and Deprecated, according to apache.org, using mod_jk1.2 is the solution.

This site says Apache auto-configuration as described in the Tomcat documentation
but how to find that inside the tomcat documenation?

Contrary to one portion of apache's own site:

I think these are the updated binaries:

However, I am not sure which I need, because I have been unable to find updated instructions for Tomcat+Apache with regards to mod_jk1.2 (plenty for v2)

It appears mod_jk-1.2.8-apache-2.0.52.so is needed at a minimum, and to be renamed mod_jk.so, or possibly, according to other sites mod_jk.dll, but at the same time, I have been unable to find complete instructions, or instructions stating other files are required, etc.

Hope something like this is available, head's spinning
