Problem: org. apache.catalina. startup. Bootstrap

I use Mac OS X 10.3.8, Tomcat and Mysql. And all "works" fine.

So my problem. From time to time, there is tomcat starting a programm called "org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap"

If i quit this "programm" - then also the Tomcat crashes.

So What for is this programm? Can anyone explain this to me? What do i have to to, to clear this thing - is there something wrong in my application? Should this never be displayed?
