Hi there, I've activated WebDav on my Tomcat 5.5. Works like a charm. When I do a File-Open in Office (MS or OO) I can select a file, edit and save it over HTTP.
However when I browse the directory with FF or IE and click on a link a temp copy is saved to local before the Wordprocessor opens. (In IE and MS-WOrd it even opens inline) Of course then Save doesn't save back to HTTP.
I know (or I suspect to be more precise), that this is a browser configuration issue. However someone here might be able and willing to point to the solution.
Thx a million!

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
