Hi,
I am running an application on apache/tomcat under unix.
It was working fine until I stopped both tomcat and apache and restarted both.
Now when I go to the base website I am getting 404 not found error.
Is there something here that I am missing.
Any help will be appreciatd.
Thx
Karthik

If that was all that was done, I can't see why you are now experiencing a problem.

When you stopped, apache and tomcat did you make any changes?

I would suggest after restarting tomcat and apache, verify that each individual services are up and running and are getting CPU time.

It's been a long time since I've run the two together but I remember that one had to be started before the other. Don't remember which. Shouldn't take you long to see if this is the problem.

I usually stop Tomcat first, then Apache and start Apache first, then Tomcat. But don't qoute me, I believe I may have read to do it that way somewhere, it has been awhile. But anyway, there have been times were I did not follow the same routine and I haven't experience the problem mentioned above. But I may just be lucky.

So let us know if the order does make a difference.

Thanks.
