Is there something wrong with the Round Up game. When I load the page, the applet gets started but I never get to see the game. Thanks!!

For some reason it does not work with IE. It has in the past though. I just tried it with Netscape, and it works.

Hi,
same for me, i've never been able to see the round-up game. I tested it with Netscape 4.76 and IE 5.01....
Co-Worker is using the same IE with the same settings and can play the game
Any ideas?? When looking at the java-console in IE i get an
"com.ms.security.SecurityExceptionEx[Host]: Unable to check hostname "www.javaranch.com"."
Help will be appreciated....

Hi there,
I'm currently working on finishing some updates to the rules roundup game that Paul developed. I'm not sure on a definite ETA but if all goes somoothly I'm aiming to have it done within the next week or two.
If anyone wants to be a beta tester, let me know and I'll let you know when/where a beta version is available.

Oh, and the updates that I mentioned are:
streaming the questions to the applet from an XML-enabled servlet and miscellaneous bug-fixes. Although it's always open to further suggestions...

Ah, yes, and there's also re-proportioning the applet to make space for more extensive (and more variety of) questions...

Some people have trouble loading the applet cuz they have their browser set to not run applets.
