I have similar requirement - How can I encrypt the datasource password in server.xml instead of displaying the clear-text password?

Simon, if you resolved your issue, please post your answer.

Regards,
Bala.

The need to encrypt data that sits on the server implies that you either distrust the administrators of the server, or the overall security of it. In either case I would advise to tackle the root problem, and not tinker with the symptoms.

I came across a post in this forum about using jce to handle this issue.
But no details on how to do it nor an example.
