How to stop web app alone not the server itself

I heard from one of the members that is not necessary to stop and run tomcat server everytime i make changes to the bean instead he told me to stop and run the web appln alone but unfortunately he did not tell me how to do it...can anyone help me with that???

Tomcat specific questions would do better there.
