Hi ,

Does Tomcat allways generates unique Session ids?I mean when ever you restart tomcat are there any chances we get the session id which was generated before?

Thanks

My understanding of the servlet API is that the session ID must be unique to that particular servlet container. When restarting Tomcat it may recover sessions that were serialized when it shutdown, so it will "know" about sessions that are still active.
