I read the Apache Tomcat Licensing, however I cannot understand some things. First of all, if I use Tomcat inside something I develop (like for example how Jboss did) I can not sell my product at a price? Also do I have to write somewhere that I am using Tomcat?

What I understood is that if I change any of Tomcat code then I have to send that code back to the community is that right?

The Apache license is a lot more flexible than the GPL and is pretty friendly to businesses that want to use Tomcat for commercial products.

As with any legal questions, I would not make any licensing decisions based on advice from strangers in a web forum. If you don't understand any part of the license and plan on using the product, you should seek council with someone who does.
