JasperException Error  RSS feed

Hello to all,
Actually I installed Apache Tomcat 5.0 and jdk1.5.0. I m working on the JSP. But for the Index.jsp page its giving an error. Error are as follows.

root cause

Unable to find a javac compiler;
com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not on the classpath.
Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to the JDK

As the message says : Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to the JDK

Make sure you have JDK installed. Enter <jdkFolder>/bin; in your Java_Home classpath variable.

try to copy tools.jar file from your jdk1.5.0\lib and pasted into TOMCAT_HOME/common/lib.

If your environment variables are set up properly, there is no need to copy any jar files to your tomcat install.

Moving to the Tomcat forum.
