Hi All-

For my current web application, I need to load certain values from DB at the start of the server (i.e. Tomcat). I have written Startup.java class which calls the Stored Proc and retrieves the values.

Please let me know, how can I call that startup class at the start of the server.

Thanks,
Grishma

At the start of the server, or of the web application? There's a huge difference.

Please let me know, both the ways.
I'll evaluate the option.

Thanks,

I know of no way to execute code at server startup. If one does exist, it will be container-proprietary.

For web applciations, you would employ a context listener.
