hi everyone,

i had a doubt regarding installing and running tomcat...

i have extracted tomcat folder along with the project folder from a repository... and i am able to run my web application without any hassles...

what i need to know is when i enter http://localhost:8080 in my browser.. i don't see tomcat manager....

then how is my application running?? how is it possible

The URL http://localhost:8080 is the home page of the Tomcat root web application, not of the Manager application. What do you see at that URL? Is something not working?

hi ulf,

when entering the url, i get the error as "requested resource not found"...

What do you mean by extracted?
Did you get Tocmat from Tomcat's site or are you using a version provided by your workplace or school?
