We are trying to build out a test environment on a laptop running XP Pro. Tomcat 5.5.9 is the Web/App Server. In the Tomcat Administration Tool, Session Manager Properties the Session ID Initializer field is a mish mash of characters. I am thinking it should be org.apache.catalina.session.StandardManager@252b80e5.

When we try to change the field and run the application the field reverts back to this mish mash of characters, and it appears that no sessions are available to the application as it breaks the first it gets to request.getsession() in the application. Any ideas on how to fix this issue? Thanks A lot!!
