Hi,

Does tomcat support hot deployment? What I mean is In webLogic server, if you make changes in your source file and compile it , and deploy the app on the WLS server, then the changes get reflected in the app, without restarting the weblogic.
Does tomcat support this? Or do I need to restart my tomcat everytime I deploy my app?

Thanks,
Trupti

I don't know exactly, but Tomcat (In my case 6.0.14) does not support hot deployment of class files. Some time ago, I had to change some class files in already deployed app, what I did is simply replaced that class files with newer one, but they are of no effective, I had to restart tomcat !!

Googled on this issue, you ll find number of links !

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
