hi,
i use jboss 3.0.6. with oracle 9i and i have some simple finder methods. they work, but my problem is that they dont use MY ejb-ql in my ejb-jar.xml. i have the methods findAll() and findBy...(). it seems they use some standard sql.
1. where is that defined?
2. why is my ejb-ql ignored?
im new to this topic, maybe somebody has a hint?
thanks in advance
regards
kay

You would give us a hint if you post a code snippet of your ejb-jar.xml... .. and what about your home interface?
cheers

thx, here is my ejb-jar.xml

my home:

if i call findAll() the logfile boot.log in server/log prints out:
08:00:21,728 DEBUG [JDBCCommand] findAll command executing: SELECT e_id FROM E_Emotion
08:00:23,088 DEBUG [LogInterceptor] Invoke: [2] getE_bez()

no matter what ejb-ql i use, the select is always the same. i build an error into my ejb-ql, but nothing happens. when i deploy my bean, finders are auto-created. i can see that in the log file too. but why my finders are not used?

08:04:08,197 DEBUG [JDBCFindEntitiesCommand] AutoGenerated finders - Home=interface ejb.interfaces.E_EmotionHome -- LocalHome=null
08:04:08,197 DEBUG [JDBCFindEntitiesCommand] Save AutoGenerated findAll public abstract java.util.Enumeration ejb.interfaces.E_EmotionHome.findAll() throws javax.ejb.FinderException,java.rmi.RemoteException
08:04:08,197 DEBUG [JDBCCommand] findAll SQL: SELECT e_id FROM E_Emotion
thx for your help
