Knowing the status of jboss  RSS feed

Hello,

i am starting and stopping the jboss server through the program , is there any utility or the tool provided by jboss that tells me status of jboss.
e.g. running or stopped

You can check the JMX-Console or web-console.
Its available at http://yourhost:yourport/jmx-console
or http://yourhost:yourport/web-console

I hope my case is some what relates to jmx-console,I am successfully able to install and run JBoss 3.2.6 when I was trying to click on jmx-console/jboss webconsole it was giving me following error

root cause

Unable to find a javac compiler;
com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not on the classpath.
Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to the JDK
