Don't you think the JBoss website would be a good place to find out?

Quote from the website:

* JBoss was started in 1999 as an open source EJB container.
* JBoss 2.x was a full J2EE 1.2 based server.
* JBoss 3.x is our current J2EE 1.3 production series.
* JBoss 4.x is our current J2EE 1.4 production version.
* JBoss 5.x is our current developer version.

dina,

I'm not positive what J2EE env is needed, but JBOSS 4.0.3 requires Java 5(1.5). This is due the upgrade from tomcat 5.0 to 5.5 within it. So you may also want to checkout Tomcat 5.5 @ Jakarta.

Cheers,

Joe

Not at all clear why this wasn't asked in our JBoss forum, but that's where I'm now moving it for any further discussion.

JBoss 4.0.x is a J2EE 1.4 compliant stack.

As with Tomcat 5, they both run under JDK 1.4 and above.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
