what is the best app server to start learning with it?  RSS feed

i would like to develope my j2ee applications,and i have multiple app Servers,like JBoss,Sunn App Server.........etc..
i do'nt Know what is the best one and friendly one to start learning j2ee-ejb applications......

Since you are going to use the server just for learning, i believe, any J2EE compliant server will be fine to start with. Personally, i have been using JBossAS as my application server both as a production server and for learning, and i have had no issues with it. Infact i am impressed with JBoss.

Now a days, application servers have become complicated as they load other things like SOA features, ESB, EAI intergration, frameworks etc. Three years back I would have said BEA Weblogic. Webspshere is complicated and Oracle app server doesn't start properly JBoss looks the best at this time but the documentation need a huge improvement.
