I have two Jboss servers running In AMD Athlon(TM) XP 3000+ machine with a memory of 2 GB. Some times the memory usage of Java shows very high . Is there anything can be done so that the Jvm garbage collects and free up some memory frequently. Please suggust me a good Configuration for Jvm for doing this. The application running in Jboss uses EJB.....

What are your current JVM -Xmx and -Xms values for what the JVM gets as its heap size.

Also, since I don't have any links in my back pocket right now. Try googling JVM tuning and read a good document on it. Good Luck.
