I am new to Jboss. I am using Jboss 3.2.7.Could some one say how to configure our own Log4j configuration instead of using Jboss specific Log4j?

Not sure what you mean by JBoss specific Log4j. If at all you mean that you want to use your own log4j.properties/log4j.xml file instead of the one that comes with JBoss, then have a look at:

Log4jRepositorySelector

and

ClassLoaderScoping
