Create a WAR and place it %JBOSS_HOME%/server/default/deploy folder.

It's better to use Eclipse with JBoss. Then it's easy for you to start with servlets & JSP.
1. Create an entry for JBoss 4.2.2 server.
2. Create new dynamic web project.
3. Create servlet/ jsp
4. Right click on project. Run as 'Run on Server'

If you haven't installed eclipse then, you can follow the following approach.

1. Go to the directory where you have installed you JBoss.
2.Then go to \server\default\deploy and put your WAR there.

If this doesn't work, then please provide your working environment details and I will be able to reply you accordingly.

Thanks

Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\jboss-4.2.0.GA\server\default\tmp\deploy\tmp2203h-exp.war\D:\workspace\h\.classpath

Probably, the war is not packaged correctly. What does

output?
