I have never heard before , is it a tool or application . what it is meant for.can somebody clarify

it is meant for anybody who needs it....people for school...business...organization.

I wish there was a button on my monitor to turn up the intellegince.
Theres a button called 'brightness' but it doesn't work

StarOffice is kind of like MS Office, but for free. It's also got a more integrated presentation. There's a StarOffice desktop from which you can access all the applications.
You can see more about it at http://www.sun.com/staroffice, or of course pick up a copy of "StarOffice Companion". ;>
