Hi,
Basically i have been told that StarOffice has been written in c++. I need a software similar to wordpad but written in Java.

Hi Rahul,
Why do you need something in Java? StarOffice is written in Java and C++; you need the JRE to run it. The forthcoming 6.0, and possibly the current 5.2, have Java and C++ support for anyone who wants to write interacting applications.
