Let's all give a big welcome to Ernest Friedman-Hill the author of "Jess In Action" who is here this week to tell us about rules engines in general and the Jess rule engine in particular. Ernest's book has been getting excellent praise and anyone who is interested in Jess will find it extremely useful. This week we are giving away copies of "Jess in Action" to four lucky winners who participate in this forum. So say "hi" to Ernest and start asking your questions.
Hi Ernest. I'm really interested in rule engines and rule-based programming, having been exposed to the idea a few years ago on a project which seemed to do it all wrong, and read a book which frustrated rather than empowered. I have a ton of questions, and I hope we all have fun discussing some of them
