What is the environment reuired for AspectJ, apart from JDK . What are the other tools that come along with AspectJ?

None. JDK (and of, course AspectJ) is all you need.

Ramnivas, do you have any opinions about the available AspectJ IDE plugins? I've already installed the Eclipse plugin (and intend to use it because I'm all Eclipse'd by now) but I also noticed that there are versions for NetBeans, JBuilder and Emacs...

Raminivas, How do I connect to database using AspectJ.
Will I need to use JDBC APIs or as AspectJ has its own APIs.
