Could someone please help me with the installation and configuration of Java for messaging(MQ Series). I have MQ Series Client on my machine. What else do I require to write and run Java programs?

You Just need to have the MQ - Java Api that connects to your MQ Server and does all the stuff. You need to have mq.jar in the classpath.
Check this for more samples
