Hi anyone,
Sun Microsystems has released a certification on iPlanet Application Server 6.0 (iAS 6.0). For more information follow the link below:
http://suned.sun.com/US/certification/iplanet/index.html
This certification can also be counted as part of jCert Level 3 "Sun Certified Enterprise Developer". For more information about jCert visit http://www.jcert.org/
I am planning to take this certification January next year.
Regards,
Faisal Mahmood
Certified SCJP2, SCWCD, SCEA (Part 1), IBM OOAD with UML and WebSphere

I am putting together some notes on iPlanet on my website. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has done the exam.
I've only started today so there is not much there yet.
Not sure if/when I am going to do this, probably after Oracle and sun architect, so it may be a few months yet...

That's great! I will be spending more time on preparing for notes and faqs starting from next December. I am extremely busy this month.

Hi Faisal how much experience do you have with iPlanet?
Did you see the sample question about changing the host ip? I've never managed to get that working always reinstalling.

Look through the instruction at:
http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/ias/60/sp2/admin/adstart.htm#13503
Yes, I managed to get it working on Solaris box (did not try on windows yet). Also, make sure you stop the server before doing so. I have done a six+ million dollar EBPP project using this server running Solaris on SPARC boxes while working at Sun Microsystems in Australia.

Good question, can't remember. It may have been a flyer through the snail mail.
How to change the ipaddress was one of the questions.

What information was in the flyer? I did not receive such flyers.
