Hi ,
Can some one help me whether Sun ONE application server is freely downloadable for Win and Solaris enviroment. if so what is the URL from which one can download.

It's downloadable in a 'test drive' edition that expires.

Thanks a lot.I heard that the sun One for solaris is freely downloadable ( not an evaluation or test copy). so just wanted to make sure.

I've recently heard the same thing.

With the latest version of Solaris (9) 'Operating Environment' is a fully functioning, non-expiring, single-CPU versions of App Server called 'Platform Edition'.

Sun has this as 'coming soon', but it might be available as early release or to select partners.

Appserver 7.0 Platform Edition will be bundled with Solaris 9 update 2. It will also be available for free (both development and production) on all platforms. (Solaris-SPARC, Windows-Intel, Linux-Intel, AIX, and HP/UX have been announced so far.)
Platform Edition is currently in a closed beta. An early access version (Solaris and Windows only) will be available very soon. If you are interested in that EA you might want to register here :
