Hello Friends,
We are facing problems when we are deploying jsp in iPlanet web server like below
request.getRequestDispatcher("/alternateOrderInfo.jsp?id="+orderId).forward(request,response);
Here is what I see in iplanet.errors file.
[06/Sep/2002:20:05:22] warning ( 5641): requested file not found (uri=/alternateOrderInfo.jsp, filename=/dataserver/apps/buildnet/web-client/alternateOrderInfo.jsp)
[06/Sep/2002:20:05:22] warning ( 5641): RequestDispatcher: forward call failed
The same works woth tomcat server(at development time). I'm not getting whats the problem. I'm really confused.
Pls let me know whats the problem and fix for this.
waiting for your reply,
Thanks for your help,
Sridhar Garimella.

I don't know of any problems that would cause a problem with the code you provide, but there were some problems with dispatchers returned from ServletRequest.getRequestDispatcher not resolving relative paths correctly. Since you are using an absolute URL, this shouldn't be a problem for you but maybe you should try ServletContext.getRequestDispatcher anyway.
You don't mention what SP you are using. I believe that this particular issue was fixed in 6.0sp4.
