Setting text box value using string variable in jsp

Im trying to retrieve values from a database and show the retrieved values in different text fields on a jsp page.



i have tried printing the value of "fullname" on the jsp page and it shows the value correctly. but the above code gives me an error when calling this jsp page. i use sun application server pe 8 for deployment.

Well, the error message says:


This can usually be solved by copying manually $JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar from the JDK to the common/lib directory of the Tomcat server, followed by a Tomcat restart.



Did you try that?

Anyway, this is a Tomcat configuration problem - moving to our Tomcat forum...

Actually, this looks like the Sun Application Server:

sun-Java-System/Application-Server-PE-8.0



That Jasper error probably shouldn't mention Tomcat by name since it is used by containers other than Tomcat....
Anyway, moving to the Sun App Server Forum.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
