I am trying to set up a DB2 datasource on the Sun Application server.
I am using db2java.zip as the library with the drivers. I get the following error message when I test:

"Operation 'pingConnectionPool' failed in 'resources' Config Mbean. Target exception message: Class name is wrong or classpath is not set for : com.ibm.db2.jdbc.DB2DataSource"

Looks like the correct driver library. It must be a problem with the way the SunOne App Server is set up. Have you tried setting up the app server with any other datasource (like mySQL or another free db)?

Look in that zip file and confirm that the class is actually in it. It seems to me that old versions of DB2 drivers had "COM." as the first part of their package names instead of "com.".
