Hello friends ,

I have been using Jrun4 as the webapp server and i would like to know if i want to add entries to xml file like servlet mapping , url pattern and all the things that can be added to Tomcat's web.xml, which file should it be ? Should it be jrun-web.xml or web.xml ?

And i also want to know from our ranchers that why is jrun-web.xml file used ?

Thanks for any and all help i would b getting in this case.

Yogendra Joshi.

I've never used JRun, but I think that jrun-web.xml is specific to JRun, which means that it will contain some JRun specific things (not portable)

The file web.xml is defined by the servlet specification, and all containers must follow the instructions defined in the spec. If you want to add servlets, mappings, and other things part of the servlet specification, you should put them in web.xml.
