Ugh!!! I need to come in here more often. I live in Denver, would have been nice to just pop in for a little while and listen to a seminar or two.

I'll let you get back to OOP-3, it was a kicker

Arg, you just missed it, Jason. I'm hoping we'll hear about how it was from an attendee or two. The web site doesn't seem to have a "wrap-up" report or anything.
Maybe next year, huh? When it's sooo close...
Back to explore OOP-4 ( while waiting for nitpicks, of course ),

I don't think you could just pop-in for one or two seminars. My understanding was that it was all-or-nothing.

This was my fourth year attending. As always, it was excellent.
I've never attended Java One, but every engineer I've talked to says that this conference is far superior to Java One.
No sales floor, no marketing people, no mamby pamby crap - just technical sessions.
It costs about $2000 to get in, and then you can attend any or all of the sessions.
A lot of presenters from IBM and Sun. And the food, as always, was superb.
My favorite presentation was on the new stuff in JDK 1.4. The presentation was given by Mark Reinhold of Sun. Apparently he was the tech lead on developing the JDK 1.2 - one of Java's biggest leaps!
